BREAKING: Suspected terrorists abduct several students writing SSCE exam in Borno school
Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have abducted several students of Government Day Secondary School in Lassa town, Askira/Uba LGA of Borno State.
NewsRegion gathered that the gunmen attacked the school on Monday morning while students were taking the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) organised by the National Examinations Council (NECO).
One of the teachers was reportedly killed during the incident, with another sustaining injuries.
Nahum Daso, police spokesperson in Borno, confirmed the incident, adding that some students are still missing.
“At about 9 a.m., an unspecified number of Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists attacked a secondary school and shot sporadically into the air. During the attack, an unspecified number of students were abducted, while some are still missing,” Daso said.
